Didn’t have a lot of time/opportunities lately to take pictures, so here’s one from the archive. This shot was taken this summer in Les Deux Alpes, France.

As promised, some more info about my trip to Stubai. I had to go to stubai for my work (Beyondsnow). I left last week on Thursday. It was a pretty exhausting trip. I had to fly from Brussels to Vienna and from Vienna to Innsbruck. Since I only got one houre to change planes I didn’t had the time to pick up my luggage. In Innsbruck I had to wait for the next flight to arrive from Vienna to get my luggage. But finally around 9 pm, it arrived.

The next morning (Friday morning) I left to the Stubai Glacier.

The glacier was amazing, the snow was perfect. It had been snowing the whole week, and when we arrived, the sky was amazingly blue.

We did some snowboarding on Friday and we prepared everything for the small festival that was starting on Saturday.

Friday evening we went to our hotel. The hotel is called the Dresdener Hütte. It was a pretty amazing hotel because it was still on the mountain. We didn’t have to go down to the village, we could stay on the mountain the whole weekend. There was nothing there except for the hotel and a party “Stube”. So you could go out at night for a walk and see thousands of stars and enjoy the silence of the nature at night…

This is a picture of the “Hütte” (photo from their website) . When I was there, everything was covered with snow.

On Saturday and Sunday I worked at the booth on the glacier and I snowboarded a little bit. It was really amazing to go snowboarding with people I normally don’t go snowboarding with. Because now I did some stuff which I normally wouldn’t do. I was riding with some pro’s so I had the opportunity to learn some new stuff.

Now I’m prepared to go riding this winter in Kitzbühel!!!

Just a couple of shots of my workplace at Larian Studios:

I just got back from Stubai . I was there on a business trip, and there was really a lot of snow (pictures will follow later). It always reminds me of Christmas time. We always go snowboarding during the Christmas holidays and this year we decided to go to Kitzbühel, Austria. I hope there will be some snow, because I want to have a white Christmas.

Christmas is my favorite time of the year. And actually I have to admit I already bought a christmas tree… I know, waaaaaaaaaay too early, but well, it’s kinda cosy… (and even my cat likes it, well maybe he just likes the decoration of the tree).

But well this is what it looks like…

(in the meanwhile we have already placed the tree somewhere else because Freggels liked it a little bit too much).

Let me be honest, I wasn’t planning to buy Mario Galaxy, I accidentally saw the last copy remaining in the store for 41€ and bought the game as an impulse buy. I must say, the game is totally worth it. I didn’t believe in the small planets gameplay when I saw the screenshots, but I’m totally proven wrong. The game is an absolute must have for everyone who owns a Wii.

The only drawback the game has is: it’s not cat owner friendly. Well, to put it right, cats seem to enjoy the game a bit too much resulting in frustrated owners not being able to play the game at ease, because the cat is constantly trying to grab the star/mouse pointer…

Anyway, I decided to take a picture of this and make another lolcat image out of it, let me know what you think :)

Oh, hayz Mario...

Every trip by plane requires a mandatory “Look Mom, I’m on a plane” picture. This picture was taken while descending to land in Oslo and shows two small towns: Hvam and Tuterud. Plane shots are always tricky as the multiple layers of Plexiglas make sure that you don’t accidentally get the whole picture in focus, but this one turned out quite nice. You can compare the picture with the google maps version of this area here (Tilt your head +-35° to the left).

The most beautiful thing I ever saw from a plane was the Aurora Borealis. This occurred last year while flying over Canada/Iceland on the flight from New York to Brussels. Too bad I didn’t have a decent camera back then to capture the moment… This is a picture of how this looks like from a plane:

This time a real gate and not the Norwegian word for road. This is one of the gates in the Akershus castle, which was built to protect Oslo.

And another shot of the castle at night:

A portion of the fortress was replicated at the Norway (Epcot) pavilion at Epcot Center theme park in Orlando, Florida, as you can see here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/79761301@N00/1254556137/

Karl Johans gate (Karl Johan Street), named after King Karl Johan, is the main street of the city of Oslo. In its current route, it connects the main railroad station in Oslo and the Royal Palace.

The Orbitron, Machines Volantes, in Disneyland Paris is a rocket-spinner attraction featured at all five Magic Kingdom-style parks at Walt Disney Resorts around the world. Although each ride may have a different name, all share the same premise of rockets spinning around a central monument, commonly a large rocket.

Crusader played at Blikfest at JH Togenblik, Beveren-Waas, this weekend for the last time with their current guitar player, Toshiyuki Nagatani. It could be that this was their last show in quite a long time as finding an experienced guitar player seems hard nowadays. If you know an experienced guitar player who is looking for a band or if you are one yourself, contact them through their myspace site: http://www.myspace.com/crusadercrew.

You can find more pictures of the concert here.
